Hunting Season

Hunting is conducted throughout the year, but the best period weatherwise
is from May to September.




Duration of the Safari

A minimum of 7 days is recommended, however 10 to 14 day Safari is preferable for more selective bowhunting. Rifle hunting on neighbouring farms can be arranged.

Passport, visas and insurance

A valid passport is required. Visas are not necessary. It is recommended that visitors take out medical insurance, as well as insurance for your personal effects and baggage.

What you should bring for a 7-day hunt

  • Four shirts, two long and two short sleeve
  • Two pairs short and long pants
  • Sun hat and cap
  • Woolen socks
  • Camo gloves
  • Rain jacket
  • Range finder
  • Flashlight and batteries
  • Well-worn walking boots
  • Windproof jacket and sweater
  • Face camo paint, scent eliminator spray
  • Sun protection lotion, chapstick and sunglasses
  • Camera, binoculars, video camera with a tripod
  • 220-110 Converter and adapter for video camera, etc
  • Clients should take anti-malaria prophylactics


Archery equipment

Use equipment you are comfortable with and follow these recommended guidelines
as well as bring a spare bow (as the variety of bows in the country is limited)

Small species (up to Blesbuck, excluding Warthog and Bushpig).
Minimum 45 ft/lbs kinetic energy.

Medium species (Nyala, Kudu, Hartebeest, etc).
Minimum 60 ft/lbs kinetic energy.

Larger species (Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Lion, Leopard, etc).
Minimum 70 ft/lbs kinetic energy.

Large species (Giraffe). Minimum 80 ft/lbs kinetic energy.


Liability

We undertake to exercise the utmost care to ensure the safety of our clients and their belongings, yet we cannot be held responsible for any illness, act of God or loss whatsoever, nor any expenses arising there from.

To confirm your bookings, 50% of the daily rate is required. The balance is payable on commencement of the Safari.
2.
No refunds will be given for cancellations unless the Safari dates can be re-booked with a replacement hunter .

All rates are subject to change.

Please note; only traveller's cheques or cash will be accepted as payment.
5.
Trophy fees and payment for wounded animals not recovered are payable after the hunt.
